Dr. Nwachuku is a highly qualified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Management.
Dr. Nwachuku’s extensive education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from New York Institute of Technology. She completed her Osteopathic Rotating Internship at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, NY, followed by a comprehensive Residency in PM&R at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY, where she distinguished herself as Chief Resident. Further solidifying her expertise, Dr. Nwachuku completed a Fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Rehab NY in Amherst, NY.
Dr. Nwachuku is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Nwachuku has contributed a chapter to the Oxford Handbook of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She has also made contributions to PM&R Pocketpedia, as well as other PM&R journals. She was featured bimonthly in Atlantic County Woman Magazine with discussions relevant to common spine and musculoskeletal conditions. She contributes articles to Spine-Health and Arthritis-Health. Dr. Nwachuku teaches Physician Assistants at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.
She is a member of the American Academy of PM&R, Spine Intervention Society, Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas and several other organizations. She has received the Top Doctor award in 2018, recognized as the Top Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist & Pain Medicine Specialist in Maryland.
Her philosophy focuses on patient centered care with non-surgical measures and equipping individuals with the tools to promote overall wellness.
She enjoys spending time with her family, cross-fit, running, participating in church as well as community based activities, mentoring and encouraging youth.
